Black, white & one colour somethings

Followed some links the other night and came across this challenge on Stamp Something which I have to admit was made for me. Black and white... what could be easier?? Finding the other colour, that's what!!

I was able to use some strips of a lovely DP from Grace Paperz which is doublesided: delicate tracery on one side and funky daisies and stripes on the other. The central flower is cut from a wrapping paper sample and embellished with bla
ck pearls. The sentiment is part of a Kaiser acrylic set and it gave me a chance to play with my SU Heat & Stick Powder and some glitter thats been lurking in a box for a year or ten. At the last minute I added some velvet ric-rac and square black brads because I always err on the side of plain. Old habits die hard.

And the other colour? Gold.

  1. This is gorgeous Carolann - love the collection of pearls in the centre of the flower - great flower too - shame it's not a stamp, I would have borrowed it - LOL

  3. I love this card. Yes, you do love your b/w cards but the gold makes it so elegant. Plain? I don't think so at all - I'm thinking very classy and elegant. Lovely!
